He is the brother of pop singer Natasha Bedingfield.  They both share the Guinness World Record for being the only siblings to have had solo number-ones in UK chart history.  But while Natasha continues to enjoy international popularity with her inane ditties, her more talented next of kin languishes in virtual obscurity.  Whoever said life would be fair?  To add insult to injury, DB released his most credible single to date, only to watch it miss the UK singles chart by one point.  If this isn’t proof positive that the record industry is not a meritocracy, I don’t know what is.  The ironic footnote to this saga is that Daniel didn’t even bother releasing the best track on his second album.  That is Sorry, the “mea culpa” piano ballad dedicated to his little sister for his bad behavior.  Maybe it fell on deaf ears.
