The modern boy band formula had become stale.  The kids needed a new hook to lure them into the fantasy world of manufactured pop.  By the time, Phixx arrived on the scene, they had to offer something extreme to grab your attention.  This might explain this bizarre clip.  The video borrows elements from gay porn, Duran Duran, and The Lost Boys, complete with naked young men in sexually suggestive situations.  Hey, I am not complaining!  Behind all of the fake glamor lies a decent electro-pop tune that rivals some of the 80’s best output.   If you doubt that the music industry relies on cheap theatrics, take a good look.  But perhaps it was all too much for the young guns.  The debut album was never released and it remains locked in the vault.  What happened to the revolution?
