similarly, i have no idea how people live without a ton of stuff. or how people travel without huge bags. i remember my father yelling at me when i was 15. we were going on a big family vacation and everyone was allowed 1 suitcase and i brought 2. he made such a big deal about it that i have issues with people that comment on the size of my luggage when i travel. i just dont understand what people do when, for instance, they need a stitch ripper to properly remove a button. also, although i dont go clothes shopping for a hobby as i did when i was much younger, one always acquires a cashmere sweater or two each winter (if not three) and those winters add up ...as do the sweaters. if you have good taste, they really dont go out of fashion. i think that living in small apartments, although normal, isnt natural. we were expected to have attics and basements and spare bedrooms. so yes, i think a country house is the answer. and yes, if i had one, i would worry about it and everything in it as you suggest. but assuming the mortgage payment was reasonable, that would be a burden i could live with.

I'm a fan of Shakespear's Sister and Siobhan from her early days in Bananarama. So much so, I pimped Shakespear's Sister on William Shakespeare's 445th birthday (written as if Bill Shakespeare liked the video for "Stay" from Hormonally Yours.

<a href="http://relentlessearworms.com/2009/04/22/stay-shakespears-sister/" rel="nofollow"></a>

I agree it is a shame that Siobhan and the Bananarama ladies (particularly Keren) have been so catty over the years. Then again, that's part of their charm.

Hey there - yeah I saw that nyt story... I can think of examples where constant talking makes things worse (im thinking of a certain friend, dating a not yet divorced guy and talking and talking and talking about it w/o her never listening to advice, etc.

anyhow, ecuador was exciting - im not sure itd be your your cup of tea. its a run down place (lots of unfinished buildings, lots of poverty and dirt) in general but the surrounding s are majestic - breathtaking mountains everywhere you look. Like I said, Ill send some pictures soon.... btw Im not doing punctuation bc I cant see everything I write on this comment board....

anyhow, tell me what's new with you? i suppose this is a really crappy time to be looking for a job. movie recommendations? (i know this is on your website somehwere...)

bye for now...

You have some good insight on straight edge already. I have been straight edge for 13 years now. I know that it has kept me out of trouble and helped get where I am now. Not drinking is one thing, but when you put a label on it, like straight edge and associate yourself with a movement, you have something to lose, so you think twice about doing something dumb. I'm glad to hear that you are drug free now. if you want to know more about straight edge, please contact me.
